Department of Agriculture recommended that people should often eat grains in our daily life, including whole wheat flour, oats, brown rice, barley, corn, mustard wheat
and millet. United States, "Huffington
Post" recently summed up the benefits
of whole grains for health.
1.
Rich in fiber and prevent colon
cancer
An important reason to eat whole grains is
to intake fiber. Two black bread can obtain 5.8 g fiber,
the same weight of white bread can only get 1.9 grams
of fiber. Adequate intake of fiber can help
control blood sugar, lower LDL
and reduce the risk of colorectal cancer.

Lower cholesterol, protect the heart
Whole
grains not only can prevent the body from absorbing cholesterol, but
also lower triglycerides, which are both important material cause of heart disease.

Weight control
Weight
control. In the follow-up study of
more than 12 years, the middle-aged men those eating
high-fiber nutritious meal are generally 3 pounds lighter than those women who
ate refined grains.

More energy
Whole grains contain resistant starch,
which is not easily digested thus burning more fat and hormones, and make
people feel more energetic. Oatmeal and brown rice are the main source of
resistant starch.
